Meet Our Founder

Ron Mills is a seasoned financial advisor and the founder of Planned Security Advisors. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University (BYU), Ron has built a distinguished career specializing in financial planning and 401(k) plan design. His expertise has led him to manage approximately 200 401(k) plans, serving around 10,000 participants across local, regional, and international levels.

Ron is recognized as a regional leader in 401(k) plan design, leveraging his comprehensive knowledge and experience to deliver tailored financial solutions. His practice, recently acquired by Ameriprise Financial, reflects his commitment to adapting and evolving in a dynamic industry.

 In addition to his leadership and advisory roles, Ron holds an extensive array of insurance licenses, including Casualty, Life, Accident/Health, Sickness, Property, and Variable Life and Annuity. He is also well-versed in securities, holding Series 6, Series 7, Series 26, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses. 

Ron’s dedication extends beyond his professional life. He has made significant contributions to his community, including establishing the first regional community table tennis facility in Salt Lake City. His commitment to service is further exemplified by his six years in the National Guard, where he served as a Swedish linguist in military intelligence, and his 2½ years as a missionary in Sweden. Additionally, Ron was a member of the BYU gymnastics team, showcasing his commitment to excellence and teamwork from a young age.
